Trusting Your Body To The Best In The Business

Dr. Broadway and the bod:evolve facility hosted an extremely successful VASER lipo seminar last weekend with 16 attending surgeons that signed up to learn even more advanced lipo sculpting techniques from the ABS institute surgeons.

The course was held on Saturday and Sunday and was offered to surgeons who had previously attended an ABS institute course, but who were looking to further their techniques with more challenging areas of the human anatomy.

Six patients participated in the course allowing VASER lipo techniques to be taught on multiple, advancd areas of the human anatomy such as lipo of the stomach, lipo of the medial and lateral thighs, lipo of the arms and axilla, lipo of the male breasts (gynecomastia) and lipo of the chin under LOCAL sedation.

The course, for both patients and attending surgeons, was a great success. VASER Hi Def Recovery

Question: Why is the healing/recovery time longer for VASER Hi-Def Liposuction procedures vs. other types of Liposuction?

Answer: VASER Hi-Def Liposuction is much more involved than other types of Lipo. VASER Hi-Def Lipo uses ultrasound technology vs. laser technology which virtually "melts" the fat. With Hi-Def Lipo, the surgeon is able to remove higher volumes of fat than with other body sculpting procedures such as Smart Lipo.

The fat removed with VASER Hi-Def is more on the subcutaneous level thus responsible for the surgeon to create that defined look of 6-pack abs or chiseled arms. The sculpting involved takes precision and more time to achieve anticipated results. Taking into consideration of all of the above, the recovery time for say an upper and lower abdomen procedure is 3 weeks before you can exercise, about a full week off work, compression garments to aid with skin contraction, and compression needs to be worn for at least 2 weeks.

This all may sound a little overwhelming, but our patients are so enamored by the results they are stating that it is well worth it!

Dr. Broadway Goes to Japan with VASER Hi Def Lipo

Dr. Broadway and his partner, Dr. John Millard, are leaving this morning on a long journey to the "Land of Rising Sun" to lecture and teach surgeons from across the world the advanced techniques of VASER Hi Def lipo utilizing VASER technology.

Both Doctors will arrive in Japan on Saturday and begin to lecture to 8 surgeons who are eager to learn the body sculpting technique that has taken standard liposuction to a whole new level. On Sunday, the ABS institute doctors, Dr. Broadway and Dr. Millard, will perform VASER Hi Def lipo on selected patients from Japan. These procedures will include VASER Hi Def lipo of the abdomen, back, flanks, and hips with possible fat transfers to the buttocks and to the male pecs.

The attending surgeons from the UK, Australia and Japan will visually see how traditional liposuction has been taken from a simple debulking technique to an advanced body sculpting treatment that is highly dependent on the surgeons understanding of the human body as an art form.

This is Dr. Broadway's 2nd international voyage with the ABS institute. Last year, both doctors traveled to Argentina to instruct other inquisitive surgeons about this "have to see it to believe it" procedure.

American Board of Plastic Surgery

Dr. Broadway recently completed and passed his recertification with The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. By choosing a plastic surgeon with this certification you can be assured that the doctor has graduated from an accredited medical school and has completed at least five years of additional training as a resident surgeon, and passed comprehensive written and oral exams. The certification is valid for 10 years and in April of 2008 Dr. Broadway successfully passed the reexamination module for Cosmetic Surgery.

Renewal Surgery Center is Open
