The Best Plastic Surgeon in Denver, Cherry Creek North and Lone Tree

Dr. Broadway was recently featured on Extra and skype video commenting on the death of former Ms. Argentina Solange Magnano, who died due to complications after a gluteoplasty surgery, a procedure to enhance and lift the buttocks.

Although rare, complications from any kind of surgery can happen, and should always be considered and understood by a patient before ever proceeding with a surgical procedure. When it comes to
plastic surgery procedures there are so many options and so many different plastic surgeons in the industry, how does one know how to make the right choice in a world full of competing claims?

You first need to view both objective and subjective criteria. The subjective criteria being your outside perception of the
doctor, the office and the staff. The objective criteria needs to be based on the facts.

First and foremost, a you want to select a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is certifed by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. There are other cosmetic surgery certifications out there that merely mean the surgeon needs to have only 100 hours of plastic surgery to be certified. A plastic surgeon certified by the ABPS means they have had to have a minimum of 5 years in a specific residency whether it be facial or full body and they have to renew this certification and keep it current.

Second, you always want to look at the surgeons education and experience. Did the surgeon spend several years educating and training or was it merely a crash course that gave them a certification.

Finally, you want to make sure the surgeon you select has a credible reputation and does not have any outstanding lawsuits or malpractice concerns. You want to make sure the facility in which your procedure will be performed is accredited and is measured against the highest standards.

To help you answer some of these questions you can visit
www.trustedsurgeons.com a physican referral service that performs in-depth research on surgeons to check their education, board certification and proven track record.

American Board of Plastic Surgery

Dr. Broadway recently completed and passed his recertification with The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. By choosing a plastic surgeon with this certification you can be assured that the doctor has graduated from an accredited medical school and has completed at least five years of additional training as a resident surgeon, and passed comprehensive written and oral exams. The certification is valid for 10 years and in April of 2008 Dr. Broadway successfully passed the reexamination module for Cosmetic Surgery.

When looking for a board certified surgeon in Denver, Colorado who specializes in breast augmentation, or body sculpting procedures such as VASER Hi Def Liposculpture or ProLipo, Dr. David Broadway is one of the best and most experienced with current certifications, and the most sophisticated plastic surgery equipment.

Choosing the best plastic surgeon in Colorado

Making the decision to have cosmetic surgery can be a time of great uncertainty. How can you be sure surgery is right for you? Will you be happy with the results? How will you choose the right plastic surgeon in Colorado? These questions are common, and it is essential to have the answers you are comfortable with before making any final decisions about surgery.

Wether you are deciding to have breast augmentation, liposculpture, or face lift procedures, your most important decision will be in choosing the right board certified plastic surgeon. Your doctor should be someone you trust, since you will need complete confidence in his abilities to ensure the best outcome.

A good place to begin is with the initial consultation, conveniently offered by Dr. David Broadway. The initial consultation is your best opportunity to find out everything you can about your surgeon. This is no time to be shy! Ask about credentials, experience, training and certifications.

Other questions to ask include:

Do you think I am good candidate for this procedure?
How many years have you been practicing?
Have you performed this procedure before?
Are Before & After pictures of actual patients available?
May I contact some of your former patients to ask about their experience?
Can you suggest alternatives to this procedure?
What are the typical risks and how do you handle them if they should occur?
Can you suggest another procedure that may be a better choice for me?

Deciding on the right plastic surgeon is not a matter to be taken lightly. All surgery carries some risk, and the outcome and long-term benefits of your surgical procedure are equally important. This is not the time to make your decision based on emotions or procedure costs alone.

If you have decided plastic surgery is right for you, insist upon excellence, keeping in mind that the outcome of your surgery is critical to your happiness and your health. Dr. Broadway will take the time to educate you about your choices and answer all of your questions. Dr. Broadway is triple-board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology, and will gladly share additional information about his qualifications and the procedure you are considering so you can easily determine if he is the right surgeon for you.

On the day of your surgery, there will be no doubt left in your mind that you have made the very best decision. Please contact our office to schecule your initial consultation.
